About PeptideClear
PeptideClear is independent UK peptide intelligence. We grade evidence. We do not prescribe. Four product categories sit on this site: cosmetic peptide skincare, ingestible collagen, research peptides, and prescription GLP-1 weight-loss medication. We are not a pharmacy, not a clinic, not a research peptide retailer. Every CTA leads off-site to a verified UK partner. Every page is editorial commentary.
How we are credibly different
We do not have a medical advisory board. We rely on published research. This is the deliberate credibility frame for a site that is editorial, not clinical. The model is Examine.com, the independent supplement-research database that built one of the strongest reputations in evidence-based nutrition without a single named clinician on staff. Examine grades evidence. Examine does not give medical advice. That is the same posture PeptideClear takes for UK peptides.
The reasoning is straightforward. For a Your Money Your Life (YMYL) topic like peptide products, two credibility paths exist. The first is credentialled-reviewer posture: a named medical advisory board, GMC-registered authors, clinical editors. That posture works for sites that publish individual clinical advice. The second is citation-density posture: every claim cites a primary source (PubMed DOI, MHRA notice, NICE technology appraisal, peer-reviewed publication, manufacturer PIL), the source hierarchy is documented, the methodology is published, and the site openly refuses to publish individual clinical advice.
PeptideClear takes the second path. We do not publish dosing protocols. We do not run a symptom-triage runbook. We do not recommend a specific medication to a specific person. Where readers need a clinical decision, the page directs to a UK-registered prescriber. What we do publish is graded, cited, source-tiered editorial comparison of the UK retailer, clinic, and pharmacy landscape, plus encyclopedia-style coverage of the research literature.
The citation density does the YMYL work. Not credentialled names. This is why the source hierarchy at Trust Review is the central editorial document on the site, and why the editorial policy is explicit about which sources lead, which are used with caveat, and which are never used.
Editorial director (sole editor)
Editorial director: Oliver Mackman. Oliver is the sole editor on PeptideClear. There is no editorial team, no contributing-writer roster, no anonymous staff bylines. Every page on this site is reviewed against the source hierarchy, the ASA CAP code, MHRA guidance, and Trading Standards advertising standards before publication. Oliver is a director of Best Business Loans Ltd, the UK company that operates PeptideClear.
One editor is a deliberate design choice, not a resource constraint. It means every claim on the site has a single owner, every source decision has a single owner, and every published page can be traced back to a single named human. We do not publish under "Editorial Team" or "PeptideClear Staff" bylines. If a page does not carry Oliver's byline, it is not on the site.
How we work
Four published documents describe the editorial machinery in full:
- · Methodology: per-category criteria for how clinics, pharmacies, retailers, collagen brands, and cosmetic brands are scored, ranked, and included.
- · Editorial policy: the source hierarchy, the sources we lead with, the sources we use with caveat, and the sources we never use.
- · Trust Review: the five-point trust framework that decides which listings appear on the site, plus the CoA Trust Index for research-peptide retailers.
- · Glossary: peptide terminology defined inline, with primary-source citations where the term has a regulated or clinical meaning.
Rankings, comparison tables, and retailer profiles are refreshed quarterly. Material changes (price, policy, regulatory status, Companies House status) trigger immediate re-review outside the quarterly cycle. The full refresh cadence per page family is documented in methodology.
What we cover
- · GLP-1 weight management: Mounjaro (tirzepatide), Wegovy (semaglutide), Saxenda (liraglutide). NHS access under NICE TA1026 across the 42 English ICBs. Private routes (high-touch clinics and low-touch pharmacies). Mechanism, cost, switching, aftercare, body composition.
- · Research peptides: BPC-157, TB-500, MOTS-c, Ipamorelin, Sermorelin, Tesamorelin, CJC-1295. Encyclopedia framing only. UK retailer comparison. HPLC purity, CoA standards, regulatory status.
- · Cosmetic peptides: GHK-Cu, Matrixyl 3000, Argireline. UK retailer comparison. INCI position analysis. Stacking with other actives.
- · Collagen: hydrolysed Type I and III (marine, bovine), undenatured Type II (UC-II). UK brands compared on dose, kDa, source transparency, third-party testing.
- · UK longevity clinics: Hooke, Echelon Health, Reliant Healthcare, Human Longevity, Bupa Health Clinics, Nuffield Health. Baseline bloods, imaging, body composition, intervention loops.
- · UK regulators and law: MHRA, GPhC, GMC, NICE, ASA, FSA. Human Medicines Regulations 2012, Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, Psychoactive Substances Act 2016, ASA CAP code.
What we will and will not do
- · We do not prescribe, dispense, or supply prescription medication.
- · We do not recommend specific medications to specific people. Your prescriber decides.
- · We do not publish dosing protocols, missed-dose runbooks, or human-use instructions for research peptides.
- · We do not show before-and-after weight-loss imagery (ASA position).
- · We do not promote compounded GLP-1 or grey-import medication sources.
- · We do not let referral fees decide which clinics, pharmacies, or retailers appear in rankings.
- · We will grade evidence, list source tiers, and cite primary literature for every claim.
- · We will refresh listings on a fixed quarterly cycle, with immediate re-review on material changes.
- · We will route readers to UK-registered prescribers for every clinical decision.
