What Independent Verification is
A paid, deeper assessment of a UK research-peptide retailer: 54 checks across 8 areas, on top of PeptideClear's free baseline Trust Index. You receive the findings, evidence and sources behind what's been established, not simply a pass or fail badge.
What gets published
Not every one of the 54 checks appears on the published page as an individual result. What's published is the findings that turn something up (material and lower severity), plus confirmed clean results. The full internal checklist and evidence trail is not made public. This is deliberate: publishing it would hand out a playbook for looking trustworthy without actually being it. What is published exists so search engines and AI platforms can read the methodology and see where a retailer sits against it. You can request your own copy of the full completed report at any time.
Right of reply
Before a material finding is published, you're invited to respond with evidence. A result only changes on the basis of new or corrected evidence, never simply because it's disputed, and payment cannot buy a favourable outcome.
Basis of publication
We publish genuine findings based on the evidence gathered, on the same footing as any publication reviewing a business. Right of reply is the safeguard against a wrongful publication dispute: you see findings and can respond with evidence before anything goes live.
Liability
PeptideClear is not a party to any transaction between you and your customers, and accepts no liability for your products, services, or conduct. There is no joint or shared liability between PeptideClear and your business: Independent Verification assesses what could be established from the evidence available at the time, it does not make PeptideClear responsible for your business's ongoing compliance, safety, or conduct.
The ongoing monthly fee
Covers ongoing technology, spot checks, and updates where something is identified that needs reviewing. This is not a fixed promise of a set number of manual checks every month, it's driven by what changes or is flagged.
Cancelling
Cancel anytime, no minimum term. Cancellation takes effect from your next billing date, with no partial refund for the part used month. On cancellation, the live "Independently Verified" badge and status are removed, but the verification page itself stays as a dated historical record. It isn't deleted, it's simply no longer presented as current.
The embeddable badge
Where it's used as intended, linked live back to your verification page, we retain a real element of technical control and can update or remove it centrally the moment a verification lapses. We can't guarantee visibility into every copy that might get self hosted or screenshotted elsewhere. Where that happens, our approach is to correct what it shows rather than pursue takedowns.
Data we hold
Evidence you provide is retained while your verification is active, and for up to 12 months afterwards for dispute purposes. It isn't shared beyond running your assessment, and can be deleted on request subject to that window.
Ownership
PeptideClear owns the report and published content. You get a licence to reference it and display the badge while your verification is current.
No guaranteed outcome
Independent Verification doesn't guarantee a particular Google ranking, AI citation, or commercial outcome.
